CCG Split Payment Capture Process
The diagram above illustrates how CCG orchestrates split tender capture requests:
- Capture Request: Merchant initiates a capture request for authorized split tender payments
- Request Types:
- Complete capture of both payments
- Capture of only one payment (with automatic cancellation of the other)
- Partial amount capture of both payments
- Outcome Handling:
- For successful captures of both payments, status is COMPLETED
- For temporary failures, CCG retries the capture
- For permanent failures on one payment, a PARTIAL_SUCCESS status is returned
- Merchant Decision Point: When one payment capture fails permanently, merchants must decide whether to refund the successful payment
